Songs for the Cadenza Issue (a selection)
After the excitement of the past few weeks, we're pleased to get back into the regular swing of things here at Half Mystic. & by "swing", of course, we're referring to swing jazz & tapping feet & midnight on cobblestoned streets, drunken solo out a three-story window, drowsy night & clumsy dance, serenade with the stars as a microphone—in short, every feeling embodied by Half Mystic Journal's Issue V: Cadenza.
This issue is still open for writing & music submissions until May 6th, & we would be so very thrilled to consider any work you'd like to send our way. Submissions are free as always, though we do offer personalised editorial review if you include proof of donation to your favourite charity. Let's make a little magic together.
& if you can't wait to get your hands on HM's latest creation, never fear: Issue V is open for preorders now, & our team is finding so much thrumming singing joy in the hard work of its final stretch of curation. In celebration of this latest issue, we thought we'd share with you a little mix of the music we've been playing on repeat through these record-scratch mornings & drunk-dancing nights, a selection of songs for Issue V: Cadenza...
